Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan ‘Upset and Sad’ to Bid Farewell to Blue Bloods

After more than a decade of working side by side, Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan are feeling the emotional weight of saying goodbye to Blue Bloods. The long-running CBS drama, which followed the lives of the Reagan family in law enforcement, is coming to an end—and the cast is grappling with the bittersweet reality. “It’s hard to even talk about,” Wahlberg shared in a recent interview. “This show has been my second home, and these people are like my family. Saying goodbye is incredibly upsetting and sad.”

Moynahan echoed the sentiment, reflecting on the deep bonds formed over the years. “We’ve grown up together, in a way,” she said. “We’ve shared holidays, life milestones, and so many hours on set. This isn’t just another job ending—it’s the end of a chapter that has meant so much to all of us.” The actress, who played Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan, emphasized the pride she feels in what the show accomplished, both on-screen and behind the scenes.

As they prepare to wrap up filming, both stars admit the final days are emotionally charged. Wahlberg noted, “There’s been a lot of hugs, some tears, and endless memories being shared. It’s a beautiful kind of heartbreak.” While they’re grateful for the journey, the cast remains hopeful that the legacy of Blue Bloods will live on in the hearts of its fans.
